People often ask me what beauty products I use every day, and whilst my routine is fairly simple, there are a handful of products that I come back to time and time again.
They're the items that have earned a permanent place in my makeup bag, whether I'm heading to work, travelling, or simply getting ready for the day.
The Makeup Bag Itself
Before we get to the products, I have to mention my trusty Their Nibs Wallpaper Floral Cosmetic Bag.
It's the perfect size for carrying all my daily essentials and, perhaps most importantly, it's washable! As someone who has been known to spill makeup more than once, that's a feature I really appreciate.
The beautiful floral print also makes it a joy to pull out of my handbag each day.
My Favourite Sisley Lipstick
If there is one beauty product I never leave home without, it's my Sisley lipstick.
It was actually recommended to me by our designer, Sia, a few years ago and I've never looked back. Whilst it's definitely more of an investment purchase, I find it lasts beautifully and the colour works with almost everything. It's become my signature lipstick and the only one I really use.
Another recent favourite is my Dior mascara.
Again, it's a little bit of a treat, but it lasts for months and gives lovely definition without clumping. I'm always cautious about mascaras that make lashes feel heavy or overloaded, so finding one that builds volume whilst still looking natural has been a game changer.
My Trusted MAC Eyeshadow Palette
I've used MAC products for years and my eyeshadow palette is one of those dependable staples I reach for every day.
The shades are versatile, easy to blend and work whether I'm creating a simple daytime look or adding a little more definition for an evening out.
One product that has really impressed me recently is Jones Road Miracle Balm.
It's one of those beauty products that's difficult to describe until you've tried it, but it gives the skin such a lovely healthy glow. On busy days when I want to look fresh without wearing lots of makeup, it's perfect.
A Special Holiday Keepsake
Not everything in my makeup bag is beauty related.
I also carry a small mirror that I bought on holiday with my daughter. It's one of those little everyday items that brings back happy memories whenever I use it, and I love having it with me.
The Products I Reach For Again and Again
Whilst beauty trends come and go, I've realised that my favourite products are usually the ones that make getting ready feel easy and enjoyable.
A good lipstick, a reliable mascara, a touch of glow, and a makeup bag that can survive the occasional mishap - sometimes that's all you really need.
